Louise holds a law degree from McGill University and an MBA from Yale University. Early in her career, she practiced law in the tax practice of a large firm. Louise began her career in publishing with Integrated Media Group, a division of International Thomson Publishing. At Learningways - a third party supplier of technology products to the educational publishing industry - Louise served as General Manager from 1996 to 1999, and headed the product development teams for many CD-ROM titles for the school and consumer channels including Geometry Blaster, Kaplan Middle and High School Success, and Score Grades 3 and 4. In 1999, Louise was promoted to the position of VP, Business Unit Manager for the General Learning category with Vivendi Universal. She headed Syracuse Language Systems and the Tween study help category. During her tenure, she significantly increased retail market share. She developed and launched the new Learn My Way line of speech recognition based foreign language acquisition products as well as the Success line of study aids for middle and high school students. She joined Soliloquy Learning in 2002 where she oversees product management for Reading Assistant products, and the licensing of the Soliloquy technology to publishing partners. Louise is passionate about letting users come first and producing high quality educational products that are considerate of teachers and the realities of the educational environment. Louise has two avid readers as advisers: her children, Simon and Daniel. |
