L. Anthony Pellegrino is an associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Group in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Prior to joining Milbank, Mr. Pellegrino was an associate at Dewey Ballantine in New York, and a Captain in the United States Army with the Chief Counsel's Honor Program, Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Pellegrino's primary practice involves complex financial litigation, with a concentration on litigating disputes under the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Mr. Pellegrino has significant experience defending financial institutions in federal and state securities challenges including class actions and mutual fund litigation.
While at the Chief Counsel's Honors Program, Mr. Pellegrino represented the Army in federal civil litigation in various U.S. District Courts and the United States Supreme Court. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal for his work with the Department of Justice in successfully defending the Washington Aqueduct's complex water treatment operations in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Pellegrino received his bachelor of arts cum laude from Villanova University in Pennsylvania, his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Syracuse College of Law in New York, and his LL.M. summa cum laude from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. Mr. Pellegrino was a member of the Syracuse Law Review and Order of the Coif. He is admitted to practice in the states of New York and New Jersey, in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and in the United States Supreme Court. |
