Lou Jones joined Papa John’s in May 2007 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In this capacity, Jones is responsible for Papa John’s Risk Management, Internal Audit and Legal functions, including supervision of legal services in the areas of real estate, litigation, transactions, securities, franchise compliance and employment. Jones also oversees legal services for all Papa John’s subsidiary entities, including PJ Food Service, Inc., Papa John’s food manufacturing and distribution subsidiary.
Prior to joining Papa John’s, Jones spent nine years with Blockbuster Inc., ending her tenure as Senior Vice President Corporate and International Law. Other positions held by Jones at Blockbuster include Vice President, International Law; Vice President, Senior Corporate Counsel - Franchise; and Corporate Counsel - Franchise. Prior to Blockbuster, Jones served as shareholder/partner in the Dallas-based Thompson & Knight law firm.
Jones has more than 24 years of experience in the legal arena, including in the areas of domestic and international franchise law, transactional and general corporate law, and real estate law. She earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1984. |
