Loren Minkus is Director, Portfolio Management for Motorola Inc. where he has worked for the past 30 years. In his current function, Loren has oversight management responsibility for minority equity investments throughout the corporation. Loren is the secretary for the Motorola Equity Investment Board which reviews and approves all minority equity investments (new and follow-on) and divestments across the company. Prior to his current role, Loren was a marketing, government relations and business development professional for 12 years in Motorola’s Network Management Group (NMG). NMG formed joint venture companies that acquired cellular operating licenses and ran cellular operating businesses outside of the U.S. Loren was the program manager for when Motorola considered spinning off NMG into a public company called Propel and was heavily involved in the SEC filings. The subsequent sale of the NMG ownership in the cellular operating companies brought in significant cash and non-operating profits to the Corporation in 2000 and 2001. Prior to NMG, Loren had positions in Corporate Audit, Corporate Treasury, Multinational Operations and had finance, marketing and strategy roles in the former Communications Sector. Loren received his BS in Accounting from Southern Illinois University and his MBA in international business from Roosevelt University. |
