Mr. Jones is a leveraged finance specialist with over 25 years of corporate finance experience. Prior to joining Cypress he was a Managing Director in the Merger and Acquisition Group at PaineWebber Incorporated where he was responsible for structuring and arranging acquisition related financings. His activities involved working with both public and private companies in North America, Europe and Asia. Before joining the M&A Group he was a senior member of PaineWebber's Leveraged Finance Group and, prior to that, its Private Placement Group. During his career at PaineWebber, Mr. Jones participated in well over 100 transactions including leveraged buy-outs, leveraged recapitalizations, dividend recapitalizations, cross-border acquisitions, financial restructurings, project financings, senior and subordinated note placements, privately placed equity securities transactions, sale-leasebacks, leveraged leases and growth financings. He was also a member of the firm's Fairness Opinion Committee. Mr. Jones began his professional career at The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. where he successfully completed Chase's Management Development Program and its Global Credit Training Program. During his 15 year career with Chase, Mr. Jones spent 8 years as a relationship manager and team leader providing credit products to middle market, corporate clients located in New York City. He also served as the Assistant General Manager at Chase Bank International in Los Angeles where he was responsible for all credit and marketing functions at Chase's largest Edge Act subsidiary serving major US and foreign multi-international corporations based on the west coast and in the Pacific Rim countries. Mr. Jones received a B.A. degree in economics from Syracuse University. |
