Lloyd is the retired Chairman and CEO of Lee Enterprises Inc., a media company publishing forty-four daily newspapers and two hundred other publications. He was Chairman of the Smithsonian National Board and is still a member of the Board. He was the recipient of the Joseph Henry Medal, the Smithsonian's highest award. He is a Trustee of the Anderson Ranch Arts Center, the Aspen Institute and past Trustee of the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies. He is a Trustee of the University of Montana Foundation and a past Trustee of the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation. He served as the Chairman and a Director of the American Newspaper Publishers' Association, now known as the Newspaper Association of America. |
