Mr. Rochford has been active in the oil and gas industry since 1973. During that time, he has been an operator of wells in the mid-continent of the United States, evaluated leasehold drilling and production projects and arranged and raised over $50 million in private and public financing for oil and gas projects. Mr. Rochford has successfully formed, developed and sold/merged 3 natural resource companies, the most recent being Magnum Petroleum, Inc. ("Magnum"). Mr. Rochford was instrumental in the formation of Magnum in 1989, and the $10 million of public and private financing which followed. He orchestrated Magnum's acquisition of Hunter Resources, Inc. in 1995, becoming Magnum Hunter Resources, Inc. (NYSE: MHR), and remained with the company as its chairman until resigning in 1997 to pursue other interests. |
