Ms. Murphy is a partner in the Firm's Virginia Beach office. Ms. Murphy regularly advises local, regional and national clients with respect to all facets of real estate development including acquisition, zoning, permitting, financing, management and leasing. She has represented wireless telecommunications carriers and tower companies since 1998 in site acquisitions and land use matters. Ms. Murphy has also served as a wireless telecommunications industry representative in connection with modifying local tower siting guidelines and statewide zoning initiatives. Ms. Murphy is the current Chairman of the Environmental Committee of the Land Use and Environmental Group of the American Bar Association's Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law. She served as a member of the faculty of the Virginia State Bar’s 17th Annual Real Estate Practice Seminar, the National Business Institute’s Major Land Use Laws in Virginia Seminar (2002, 2003 & 2006) and the Virginia Continuing Legal Education’s Land Use Law Seminar (2002). Ms. Murphy serves as President of the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association for Commercial Real Estate. She is an Area Representative to the Board of Governors of the Real Estate Section of the Virginia State Bar and a Graduate of the Leadership Hampton Roads Class of 2004. Ms. Murphy also serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads and as a community-funding panel Vice-Chair for the United Way of South Hampton Roads.
