Lisa J. Clapp is an associate in the firm’s Tax, Trusts & Estates Department and a member of the Employee Benefits Practice Group. Ms. Clapp concentrates her practice in all aspects of employee benefits, with a focus on qualified and non-qualified retirement and compensation arrangements. She counsels clients on a variety of benefits issues, including fiduciary responsibilities under ERISA, plan qualification and operational issues and executive compensation matters, including the negotiation and drafting of incentive compensation, employment and separation agreements. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Clapp served as an associate at another New Jersey law firm, where her practice focused on employment matters, including the resolution of discrimination, harassment and whistleblower claims, primarily on behalf of management. She also served as a legal intern for the Honorable Ronald J. Hedges, United States District Court, District of New Jersey. A graduate, cum laude, of Middlebury College (1994), she received her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark (1999), where she was a member of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal. Ms. Clapp received her Master of Laws in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law (2004). Ms. Clapp is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. |
