Lisa G. Iglesias is senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Spherion Corporation (NYSE:SFN). Founded in 1946, the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based company is a leader in the North American staffing industry,providing value-added staffing, recruiting and workforce solutions. Iglesias is responsible for the entire legal function of the Company and oversees the law department. Prior to her appointment as general counsel, Iglesias served as associate counsel for Spherion®, with primary responsibility for mergers, acquisitions and securities law. She came to Spherion in 1998 from the law firm Greenberg Traurig and has a wide range of legal expertise, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and securities law. Iglesias has Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of South Florida. She received her law degree from the University of Miami and is admitted to the Florida bar. Iglesias serves on the board of directors of the American Staffing Association and the American Arbitration Association. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Corporate Counsel Association and the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. Iglesias is also licensed as a certified public accountant in Florida. |
