Mr. Hernholm is a shareholder with the firm. He has an extensive background in both business litigation and family law matters, and has represented clients in proceedings throughout California and in Texas, Virginia, Wyoming and New York. His emphasis is in family law matters involving complex property characterization, income attribution and tracing issues. A member of the American and San Diego County Bar Associations, Mr. Hernholm is the author of a treatise analyzing the characteristics of land administration in the Soviet Union, which was published in an international comparative law study, The Unity of Strict Law, and presented at The Queen s College, Oxford University. He is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California, the Southern District of Texas and the Southern District of New York. He has successfully presented appeals on behalf of his clients in California s Second and Fourth Appellate Districts. From 1968 to 1972, prior to attending law school, Mr. Hernholm served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. |
