Law Practice Linda E. Rodd has been a member of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C.’s Labor practice since 2000, and works with partner Irwin Bluestein on the 1199 Funds and Newspaper Guild Funds. Ms. Rodd is co-counsel to various multi-employer funds, which provide pension, health, education, job security, labor-management cooperation and child care benefits. She has drafted trust agreements establishing funds and has advised the administrative staff and trustees of such funds in plan design and operational structure. Ms. Rodd has prepared IRS filings for tax-exempt status for newly established funds and has prepared restated plan documents to comply with legislative changes for existing funds. She has also prepared summary plan descriptions and amendments to plan documents. Ms. Rodd attends and advises trustees at periodic trustee meetings, including investment subcommittee meetings. She is currently responsible for approximately sixty-five pending arbitration cases to collect delinquent contributions and audit balances, and has experience in obtaining and enforcing judgments.Professional Profile Before joining Meyer, Suozzi, Ms. Rodd was a partner of the firm of Vladeck, Waldman, Elias & Engelhard from 1985 until 2000. Previously, she was an associate of Cravath, Swaine & Moore from 1982 until 1985. While in law school, Ms. Rodd was Articles Editor for the Georgetown Law Journal.Community Involvement Ms. Rodd is the chairperson of the Bronxville Youth Council, a high school community service organization. Previously, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Bronxville School Foundation from 1997 to 2005. From 1997 to 2000, she was the co-founder and co-chairperson of the Bronxville Middle School Community Service Group.Admissions Ms. Rodd was admitted to practice law in New York State in 1984.
