Lewis R. Walton is Of Counsel in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He practices tax law and tax litigation. He represents taxpayers before the IRS and state agencies such as the Franchise Tax Board, State Board of Equalization, and the Employment Development Department.
In 2006, Mr. Walton co-chaired a tax symposium held at the University of California at Berkeley and chaired the section on state tax issues at that meeting. He taught for Chaffee College and Merced College, and received the Nathan Burken Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, along with the General Hickman Award in Constitutional Law.
Mr. Walton earned his J.D., magna cum laude, at the University of San Diego, where he also earned a Diplomate in Taxation and an LL.M. in tax.
Mr. Walton is a commercial pilot.
