Leslie Sibert is Vice President, Transmission for Georgia Power. In this position, she oversees the company’s transmission system, including planning, maintenance, operations and new construction. Sibert started with Georgia Power as a co-op student in 1982. She has since held various positions at both Georgia Power and Southern Company in retail/wholesale marketing, distribution, customer service and labor relations. During Sibert’s tenure at Georgia Power and Southern Company, she has been active in organizations which include, the American Heart Association, Leadership Gwinnett, Association of the United States Army, DeKalb United Way Advisory Board and DeKalb Chamber of Commerce Board. She is also on the boards of the YWCA of Greater Atlanta and the Georgia Tech Research Alliance. Sibert is also a member of the Decatur Rotary Club and the Citizens of Georgia Power. She completed the Atlanta Regional Leadership Institute program in 2003. Sibert is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. She completed the Harvard Professional Management Development Program in 2001. She was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005. She is currently participating in the 2006-2007 Leadership Foundation Fellows Program.
