Leslie D. Hirsch, President & CEO, has nearly thirty years of diversified healthcare leadership experience in academic and community healthcare organizations, including St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, Cooper Health System in Camden, N.J and Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City. Hirsch is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ and a Master of Public Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ. He currently serves as a member of the Bring New Orleans Back Commission-Health and Social Services Committee, and Co-Chaired the Committee's sub-committee on Hospital and Specialty Care. He also serves as a member of the Public Health and Healthcare Task Force of the Louisiana Recovery Authority. Seven days after assuming his position at Touro Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans and several days later the hospital was fully evacuated and closed for four weeks. Hirsch has led Touro’s reopening and recovery during the past year in the face of the worst natural disaster in our country’s history. |
