Leonid G. Mikityanskiy is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the New York office. Leo is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, where his practice focuses on patent litigation in areas of electrical and communications technology.
Prior to joining the firm, Leo was employed at Gottlieb, Rackman & Reisman, P.C., where he worked on a number of patent prosecution and litigation matters, as well as copyright and trademark litigation matters, conducted patent searches, drafted patentability opinion reports and prepared patent applications and patent licensing agreements.
Leo graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Communications Law. While in law school, he was also a research assistant to Professor Marci A. Hamilton.
Prior to law school, Leo spent approximately five years as a consulting engineer in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) field, designing fiber optic communication systems, incident detection and response systems, and traveler information systems.
Leo is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Leo is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
