LEON A. LAROSA, JR., CPA, CFE, MST, serves as Chair of Litigation Support Services at GR. Leon has over 40 years of diversified experience in the public and private accounting sectors, as well as academia. Leon has served both public and privately held companies in the professional service, health- care, wholesale, retail, real estate, technology, insurance, financial, government defense contracting and manufacturing industries. Leon has served as an expert witness and/or consultant in areas such as financial statement fraud, employee fraud, professional malpractice, commercial and personal injury economic damages litigation, related party liability, bankruptcy, reorganization and arbitration services. He has also served as chief financial officer in the healthcare, computer services and real estate industries. As a forensic accountant and expert in financial statement fraud, Leon serves as an advisor to audit committees and to a major underwriter of directors & officers liability insurance. He is an adjunct professor and director of the Institute of Fraud and Forensic Accounting at LaSalle University. Throughout his career, Leon has served as a panelist and/or guest speaker for various professional groups and financial institutions. During the past five years, Leon has spoken extensively on "The Detection of Accounting Gimmicks" and "Fraud in Financial Reports" and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the National Litigation Consultants' Review. Leon is a graduate of Widener University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Taxation. He is an active member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, PICPA Committee on Forensic and Litigation Services, The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and The Turnaround Management Association. Committed to the community, Leon is Chairman of the Patrons Foundation, a past chairman of The Burn Foundation and serves in leadership positions in several other not-for-profit organizations. |
