Léo W. Houle is Chief Talent Officer of BCE Inc. and Bell Canada. Prior to joining BCE in June 2001, Mr. Houle was Senior Vice-President, Corporate Human Resources, Algroup Ltd., a Swiss based diversified industrial, which subsequently merged with Alcan Inc. in October 2000.
From 1966 to 1987, he held various management positions with the Bank of Montreal the latter of which was Senior Manager, Human Resources Administration Centres. On leaving the Bank of Montreal in 1987, he joined Mardon Group Limited where he was Group Vice-President, Human Resources until 1994 at which time Algroup Ltd. acquired Lawson Mardon Group. He was appointed Head of Human Resources for the packaging division of Algroup and in 1997 Head of Corporate Human Resources of Algroup Ltd.
Born in Edmonton (Alberta), his career has required his living and working in Calgary (Alberta), Toronto (Ontario), London (England), Paris (France), Zurich (Switzerland) and Montréal (Québec) where he currently resides.
Mr. Houle completed his studies at College St-Jean in Edmonton and later attended the Executive Development Program in Human Resources at the University of Western Ontario in 1987. He holds, from the Province of Ontario, the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. |
