Leila Fusfeld is an associate in the Tax Team of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Leila’s practice covers all aspects of business and individual federal, state and local taxation.
Business Tax Experience. Leila’s practice encompasses entity formation, private and public offerings of equity interests and debt securities, and mergers and acquisitions. Leila regularly addresses tax concerns of regulated investment companies.
Nonprofit Organization Tax Experience. Leila has experience working with nonprofit organizations, including public charities, private foundations, and supporting organizations. She has advised many organizations about forming tax-exempt organizations and completing Section 501(c)(3) exemption applications. Leila also advises nonprofit organizations regarding unrelated business taxable income and excess business holdings issues.
International Tax Experience. Leila also has experience in various international tax matters, including issues dealing with controlled foreign corporation and passive foreign investment company rules.
Other Tax Experience. Leila addresses various tax issues arising from the issuance of tax-exempt bonds. Her practice includes real estate tax issues, including like-kind exchanges and matters relating to real estate investment trusts. Leila also advises clients regarding state and local tax issues. |
