Lee Williams
Director of Operations
Mr. Williams has more than 28 years of increasing responsibility and experience in all phases of the natural gas gathering and processing industry.
October 2006 to present, Director of Operations, Frontier Energy Services, LLC.
Prior to joining Frontier Energy Services, Mr. Williams was working in West Africa for Marathon Oil at their Punta Europa Gas Plant. The Punta Europa Gas Plant consisted of two 500 mmscf/d mole sieve dehydration trains, two 450 mmscf/d turbo expander gas plants, a depropanizer unit, a debutanizer unit, propane treater, propane refrigeration, propane storage, butane storage, and liquids separation and stabilization for up to 65,000 bbl/d of light crude. Serving as Gas Plant Coordinator he was responsible for coordination of the maintenance program to ensure minimal downtime and maximum production. He was also responsible for the permit to work system and working with contractors, such as Bechtel, coordinating construction projects and insuring all work was done in a safe and timely manner.
From 1999 to 2004 Mr. Williams was employed by CMS Field Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CMS Energy Corporation. Starting in Midland Texas as the System Manager of the CMS Midland Gathering System, Mr. Williams managed the construction and operations of the system. From West Texas Mr. Williams transferred to the CMS Bighorn Gas Gathering System. The Bighorn System was focused on gathering Coal Bed Methane in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming and was capable of moving 250 mmscf/d. The Bighorn System consisted of approximately 250 miles of 10" to 26" high pressure steel pipe and approximately 200 miles of various sized poly pipe. The system had 26 compressor stations with dehydration and the total horsepower was approximately 40,000 HP. Mr. Williams' initial position was Construction Manager where he oversaw ongoing construction of the Bighorn system. In early 2003 Mr. Williams became the System Manager and was responsible for the day to day operations of the entire state-of-the-art system which included 15 full time employees and various third party contractors.
From 1997 to 1999 Mr. Williams worked contract in the Peoples Republic of China as a Technical Writer and Training Coordinator at Arco's Nanshan Shore base. He was deeply involved in the development of the National Training Program. During this time frame he also worked briefly in Bolivia, S.A. during the startup phase of a 40 mmscf/d turbo expander gas plant.
From 1987 to 1997 Mr. Williams was employed by Union Texas Petroleum which was sold to Western Gas Resources in 1991. Mr. Williams served in various capacities including Area Supervisor. These assets, located in NW Oklahoma, included the Chaney Dell Plant, the Lamont and the Chester plants and were capable of processing 160 mmscf/d.
From 1979 to 1987 Mr. Williams owned and Operated Williams Electric Service. The company was primarily focused on electrical construction and maintenance within the energy industry, the major account being the Union Texas Petroleum Oklahoma assets.
Mr. Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Phillips University. He and his wife, Marzelle, have two grown daughters and currently reside in Edmond, Oklahoma.
