Lazane Smith, 52, is responsible for overseeing the company's human resources organization.
Before joining Gateway in 2006, she spent almost 12 years at CompuCom Systems, Inc., an IT services and solutions provider headquartered in Dallas, Texas, serving as senior vice president, finance and CFO until 2005. Smith joined CompuCom as corporate controller in 1993, was appointed CFO in 1997, and was elected to its Board of Directors in 2001. Prior to CompuCom, she held a variety of positions with several companies, including Coca-Cola Enterprises and Abbott Laboratories. Since 2003, Smith has been a member of the Board of Directors of Global Imaging Systems, serving on the audit and governance/nominating committees.
Smith holds a bachelor's of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. |
