Lawrence A. Minkoff, Ph.D., a founder of the Company in 1991, is presently the Company’s President and Chief Scientific Officer. From October 1989 until February 1991, Dr. Minkoff served as President and a director of Minkoff Research Labs, Inc. ("MRL"), a privately held company engaged in the development of MRI technology. From July 1978 to October 1989, Dr. Minkoff was an executive vice-president of Fonar Corporation a company engaged in developing and marketing Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanners. Dr. Minkoff is one of the pioneers in the field of MRI technology. His service as a member of the four-person team that invented MRI imaging for humans in July 1978 which work has been memorialized in the Smithsonian Institution. In fact, Dr. Minkoff was the first human scanned by MRI. |
