Laurene H. Horiszny is Vice president, General Counsel and Secretary of BorgWarner Inc.
Prior to being named to her current position in May 1993, Horiszny served as the company's assistant general counsel. She joined the company in 1986 as an attorney, and was promoted to senior attorney in 1988. Before joining BorgWarner Inc., Horiszny was an attorney with EX-CELL-O Corporation in Troy, Michigan, and with Consumers Power Company in Jackson, Michigan.
Ms. Horiszny earned a bachelor's degree in business from Michigan State University and a JD from the Ohio State University College of Law. She is a member of the American, Illinois and Michigan Bar Associations; Manufacturers' Alliance Law Council II where she served as a chairman 2000-2005; American Corporate Counsel Association; and American Society of Corporate Secretaries, where she served as a member of the Advisory Committee and past president of the Chicago Chapter 1998-2005. She served on the Boy Scouts of America Land O'Lakes Council and on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of DuPage County Council. |
