Lauren is Executive Editor of Gotham Books, where she has been since starting with William Shinker in fall 2001. She has been in publishing for 15 years and has worked at Broadway Books, Hyperion, where she was also responsible for overseeing the Miramax imprint, HarperCollins and The Robbins Office, a literary agency. She has edited and published several New York Times bestsellers. Some of her past authors include Thomas Moore, Ann Crittenden, Ruth Reichl, Cheryl Richardson, Cherie Carter Scott, Camryn Manheim, Cindy Crawford, Patti LaBelle, Brooke Siler and Jane Green. Her list is eclectic and tends to fall into the following categories: memoir, biography and narrative non-fiction, food and travel narrative, current events, popular culture, careers and personal finance, cutting edge diet, health and fitness and thought provoking spirituality, self help and motivation.
