Ms. Schmidt is a Shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office and a member of the firm's Litigation and Natural Resources groups. Ms. Schmidt has litigated a wide variety of commercial matters in state and federal courts, including toxic torts, breach of contract, business torts, antitrust and telecommunications. Ms. Schmidt also practices general environmental law with an emphasis on environmental litigation. She has represented clients in administrative actions with federal and state agencies, advised clients regarding regulatory compliance with federal environmental statutes, and served as an environmental specialist for corporate mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Schmidt was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Washington, D.C. She also served as a law clerk for Judge Bruce D. Black of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. |
