Laura Herring, SCRP: Founder, President & CEO A pioneer in career/life transition support, psychologist Laura Herring is President & CEO of IMPACT Group, a WBE-global career/life transition assistance firm providing comprehensive services worldwide including outplacement assistance; employee, spouse and family relocation transition assistance; work/life resource and referral services; executive coaching; and career management consulting. A nationally known speaker, Herring regularly addresses career/life transition issues at global and national conferences, and has been featured in national and industry-related publications including: The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Boston Globe, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis Business Journal, Chicago Tribune, USA TODAY , Newsweek, FortuneMagazine, HR Magazine, Workforce Magazine, HR Executive Magazine, Mobility and Personnel Journal. Laura is active in both local and national civic affairs and was elected a Missouri delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business. She was a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Greater St. Louis Economic and Development Council, a past member of the Saint Louis Science Center, Missouri Historical Society, and Coro Foundation, and is currently a Trustee on the Board of Webster University and Missouri Historical Society, and a member of the TRANSCOM Commander’s Advisory Board. Laura has authored several articles and booklets on transition and its impact on employees and families. She is a recipient of NAWBO's Distinguished Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the St. Louis Business Journal’s 25 Most Influential Business Women award in 2004. A graduate of Webster University and Washington University in St. Louis , Laura also attended The Institute of European Studies in Vienna , Austria , where she studied Psychology.
