Laura L. Mountcastle is vice president of investor relations and treasurer of CMS Energy and its principal subsidiary Consumers Energy. She was elected to the position in 1999. She is responsible for managing the diversified energy holding company’s interactions with the investment community the corporate liquidity financing and treasury operations and maintaining relationships with the banking community. She is also responsible for the investment management of the employee benefit plans including pension 401(k) health care and life insurance.She had responsibility for strategic planning from July 1997 until April 2001. Mountcastle joined CMS Energy as vice president of investor relations in 1994. Before joining CMS she held financial and investor relations responsibilities for 10 years at Pacific Gas and Electric Co. Before that Mountcastle worked at Chemical Bank in New York.Mountcastle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Trinity College in Connecticut and a master’s degree in public and private management from Yale University. |
