Laura Lofaro founded Sterling Resources International in 1988. Sterling Resources is a retainer executive search firm specializing in worldwide financial services recruiting and consulting. Since its inception, the company has placed executives in a broad range of senior investment banking positions, spanning the globe. The firm's reputation for professionalism and outstanding service has enabled it to attract a small, but select client base of top quality investment banking firms. Prior to forming Sterling Resources International, Ms. Lofaro was associated with Hawkes Randolph, a large executive search firm headquartered in Manhattan. Like Sterling, the company was well known for its quality work within the financial services field. There, Ms. Lofaro built and managed the firm's retainer investment banking practice. In the late 1980's, she became one of the first recruiters to develop an expertise in cross-border placements, completing a number of assignments in the U.K., Continental Europe, Latin America and Asia. Ms. Lofaro was selected by the National Association of Female Executives for inclusion in Who's Who in American Women. She has also appeared in the National Association of Female Executives Who's Who Directory (Executive Edition). Sterling Resources' President graduated with a bachelor of arts degree cum laude from the College of New Rochelle. She is a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants, the Financial Women's Association of New York and the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CORPORATE & PROFESSIONAL RECRUITMENT.
