Laura A. Pierson Scheinberg represents management with respect to traditional labor matters, including unit determinations, union elections, and unfair labor practice charges. She has also defended clients in such areas as disability, sex, race and other discrimination suits, as well as wrongful discharge and employment tort litigation. She has provided advice and counsel to human resources representatives and has reviewed employee handbooks and company policies. In addition to her legal practice, Laura has served as an adjunct professor at McDaniel College teaching in their Masters degree program in Human Resources Development. Laura is also active in the community and serves on the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Board of Directors, participates in the United Way’s Women’s Initiative Next Generations and is on the Executive Committee of the Lawyers Campaign for CollegeBound Foundation. Before entering private practice, Laura served as an Intern Staff Attorney to Board Member Fox of the National Labor Relations Board. Prior to going to law school, Laura worked as a Human Resources professional for two years.
