Anderson has more than 20 years of banking experience with BB&T. He graduated from the Management Development Program in 1985. His previous responsibilities included branch manager and commercial loan officer in Charlotte N.C. city executive in Laurinburg S.C. area executive in Charleston S.C. and area executive in Greensboro N.C. He served as the president of the East Tennessee Region and Tennessee State President and as the Atlanta Regional President. In January 2006 Anderson was named as the Georgia State President. Anderson also worked as a credit analyst with Chemical Bank in New York and ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia.
