Larry and his daughter milk 140 cows, grow silage corn and hay, and raise a small herd of beef cows on 700 acres. He was honored with the FFA American Farmer Degree and as the Honorary Star Farmer. He also won Grand Champions and Premier Breeder and Exhibitor Awards. Larry is the current chairman of DFA’s DEPAC and Fluid and Public Policy Marketing committees and is on the boards of the Southeast Area Council, the Missouri Dairy Association and Midwest Dairy Promotion Board. He also serves as the chairman of the DFA SEAC Ozark region. Active in the industry he also is on the National Dairy Board, County Farm Bureau Board, and is chairman of the Congressional Ag Advisory Committee. He formerly was the treasurer of Mid-Am Cooperative and served on the Missouri Dairy Association Board. |
