Larry J. Hughes, MPA, CPC, ACS-AN has a B.S. Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a certified concentration in Healthcare Administration. He has over 34 years of experience in healthcare financial management and administration with the last 22 years totally dedicated to anesthesia billing and practice management. From 1972 through 1983 he served in various positions of increasing responsibility in hospital finance and administration at various institutions. In 1984, Larry was a co-founder of Medical Management, Inc., a physician practice management company that was sold to a national company in 1995. For the next three years he served as a national consultant to anesthesia practices with concentration on practices in the southeastern United States. At the request of several former clients, Larry returned to billing and practice management by creating ICON in early 1998. Larry is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Medical Group Management Association, American College of Medical Practice Executives, a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and is also board certified as an Advanced Coding Specialist in Anesthesia (ACS-AN) by the Board of Advanced Medical Coding. |
