He is the senior partner and practicing attorney with the firm of Walker, Hulbert, Gray and Byrd, LLP in Perry, Houston County, Georgia. He served in the Georgia General Assembly for 32 years and was the House Majority Leader for 16 years. He has been a Director of SBKC since August, 1998 and Director of Security Bank Houston County since its founding. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Life of the South Insurance Company.
