Larry Potts joined Scientific Games in September, 2004 as Vice President of Security and Compliance.
Mr. Potts has several years of experience in the investigative and security fields. His hands-on experience within these fields include: the day to day management of operations of an investigative company overseeing investigations, as well as personally conducting some investigative and consulting jobs.
Prior to joining Scientific Games, he was Chief Operating Officer of Investigative Group International, an investigative and security-consulting company headquartered in Washington, D.C.
In addition, Mr. Potts served as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation from 1974 to 1997 in which he not only worked in the violent crimes, white-collar crimes and organized crime units as a street agent, but also developed guidelines for conducting public corruption investigations. He was named Inspector-In-Charge of the VANPAC investigation involving the mail bombing deaths of a federal judge and a civil rights attorney. He supervised a multi-task agency task force of several hundred people and successfully prosecuted the individual responsible.
Potts holds a B.A. in History and Psychology from the University of Richmond.
