Lance C. Balk was appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Dade Behring Inc. on May 8, 2006.
Prior to joining Dade Behring, Mr. Balk worked for Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, where he was a partner and founder of the firm’s New York corporate and securities practice. He was heavily involved in the Firm’s private equity practice, with his primary focus on mergers, acquisitions and securities law matters. From 1984 to 1990, Mr. Balk worked in the corporate and securities group in Kirkland & Ellis' Chicago office.
Mr. Balk holds a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in philosophy from Northwestern University. Mr. Balk also serves on the board of Belden CDT. |
