DR. LAL A. PINNADUWAGE. Dr. Lal A. Pinnaduwage is a Senior Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and also a research professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. He is the author of over 60 publications in refereed journals, two patents and three pending patents. Dr. Pinnaduwage's research is currently focused on novel physical, chemical, and biological detection using micro electromechanical sensors (MEMS). His expertise includes negative ions, electron-excited molecule interactions, gaseous dielectrics, interaction of laser and microwave fields with fast atom beams, Rydberg atoms and molecules, low-temperature plasmas and mass spectrometry. |
