Mr. Cooley is the Founder and CEO of Cornerstone Partners. In addition, he created the charter for its healthcare Advisory Board for the company, which includes some of the most distinguished names in healthcare. The company’s clients include both private developing companies as well as well established public companies. Prior to founding Cornerstone, Mr. Cooley was co-founder of Counterpart Capital, a healthcare focused investment-banking firm, where he was a Principal from 1993 through 1998. As a Principal in these companies, Mr. Cooley arranged venture funding, corporate alliances and mergers and acquisitions for a number of clients. During his 20 years in the Silicon Valley, Mr. Cooley worked with 3 separate successful technology start-up companies and 2 Fortune 500 technology companies: Tektronix and Tymshare, which did 23 acquisitions in a 5 year period of time. He headed up the process of raising over $60 million in venture capital, several corporate partnerships, and initial public offerings. This experience included holding successful executive positions in applications software, medical device, biotechnology, healthcare software and outsourcing companies. Mr. Cooley has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University, a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Cooley is a frequently invited speaker and advisor at healthcare related conferences. |
