Kurt brings 24 years of experience in the telecom industry to TTM. Most recently, he was Vice President - National Business Operations for the Wireless Network Services ("WNS") division of AT&T Wireless, where he spent almost 19 years. In this role, Kurt served as the senior business and finance executive for WNS, responsible for all capital and expense forecasting, planning, and program management. His responsibilities also included communications, HR, and process improvement for the WNS division, as well as leading the team responsible for supplier management/procurement for the entire company.

Prior to leading the WNS National Business Operations team, Kurt was responsible for leading the creation of the Transport Services Team for WNS. In this role, Kurt and his team created a specialized transport group responsible for the design, engineering, installation and optimization for all of the AWS transport network, including both local and long distance connectivity. His team virtually eliminated congestion on the transport network while delivering significant unit cost improvements.

Kurt's work at McCaw Cellular and its successor, AT&T Wireless, prior to his work in the WNS division focused primarily on External Affairs. From 1985 to 1999, Kurt lead the McCaw/AWS effort in LEC and IXC interconnection negotiations, forging contracts with all major LECs, many smaller independent LECs, and several IXCs. In this capacity, he appeared as the company's expert witness before numerous state public utility commissions, the FCC, and several state legislatures. During this period he also led the McCaw/AWS state regulatory team, supervised legislative advocacy, and negotiated microwave relocation contracts.

Kurt began his career with the Telecommunications Consulting Group of Ernst & Whinney, now Ernst & Young. In this role, he provided consulting services to independent telephone companies, cable television providers, and emerging cellular telephone companies.

Kurt holds a Masters of Arts in Whole Systems Design from the Center for Creative Change at Antioch University - Seattle. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration (Accounting) from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and is a CPA (Inactive) in Washington State.
