Kurt Buseck is the founder and President of Full Circle Investments Inc. a private equity firm based in Erie Pennsylvania. FCI recently transitioned its focus to the equity requirements of start-up and growing businesses in Pennsylvania. This activity includes working with entrepreneurs on refining their business plans and capital strategies. FCI has provided equity capital for six companies over the past thirty-six months. FCI has also arranged additional equity and other funding for each of these companies. FCI is in the process of raising an equity fund which will be focused on Pennsylvania companies.
Buseck founded Full Circle Investments L.P. in 1993. FCI L.P. focused on acquiring and then building mid-sized industrial companies in partnership with their management. These acquisitions were located throughout the United States and Canada. FCI L.P. acquired six platform companies and completed eleven add-on acquisitions. Transaction values ranged from $1 million to $36 million. These transactions occurred between 1993 and 1998. FCI L.P. began selling its portfolio in 1997 and completed this process in 2002.
Prior to forming FCI L.P. Mr. Buseck was Managing Director from 1988 to 1993 of the New York City office of Onex Corporation a $15 billion Toronto holding company. He oversaw the growth of Onex’ United States based revenues from under $300 million to over $4 billion. From 1986 to 1988 Mr. Buseck was a founding member and Managing Director of the Principal Investments Group at Bear Stearns & Companies Inc. which undertakes leveraged acquisitions. He was also involved with leveraged acquisitions while at General Electric Capital Corporation from 1984 to 1986.
Mr. Buseck received an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1984 and a BA from Boston College in 1978. |
