Kristy K. Johnson is a Client Financial Associate for MGL Consulting Corporation and frequently serves as a Financial and Operations Principal (FINOP) for clients. She has over 10 years experience in accounting and financial statement preparation and has worked for MGL since 2000. Her responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements, net capital computations, FOCUS IIA Reports and Schedule l Reports. As a Client Financial Associate, Ms. Johnson ensures the timely and accurate preparation and/or filing of various financial records and financial reports as required by regulatory agencies. In the performance of her duties, she utilizes the talents and services of approximately 50 employees at MGL including CPAs, experienced FINOPs, former compliance directors and principals of FINRA firms, along with senior officers and consultants. Ms. Johnson also works closely with MGL’s Risk Management Committee to ensure clients meet ongoing guidelines and regulatory requirements. Prior to joining MGL Consulting Corporation, Ms. Johnson was employed with Dana L. Garrett, Attorney at Law, as a Staff Accountant where her responsibilities included preparing financial statements and W-2s, payroll tax reports, and assembling tax returns. Before this, she held a similar position with National Mortgage Link where she was responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing. She also worked with Bilstat as a Staff Accountant with responsibilities for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank account reconciliations while supervising two accounting clerks. Ms. Johnson graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and completed her Masters of Business Administration in Accounting in May 2001. |
