Working together with her colleagues at Milberg Weiss, she has achieved significant success on behalf of shareholders of publicly traded corporations, including: In re Red Hat, Inc. Securities Litigation, Civ. No. 5:04-CV-473 BR (E.D.N.C. 2006) (defeating motion to dismiss); Primavera Investors v. Liquidmetal Technologies, Inc., 403 F. Supp. 2d 1151 (M.D. Fla. 2005) (defeating motion to dismiss; $7.025 settlement for shareholders pending); In re Deutsche Telekom AG Securities Litigation, Civ. No. 00-CV-9475 (S.D.N.Y. 2005) ($120 million settlement for U.S. holders of American Depository Shares); In re Atlas Air Securities Litigation, 324 F. Supp. 2d 474 (S.D.N.Y. 2004) (defeating motions to dismiss); In re Rayovac Securities Litigation, 295 F. Supp. 2d 957 (W.D. Wisc. 2003) (defeating motion to dismiss Securities Act claims; $5 million settlement for shareholders). Ms. McGregor has particular experience in international litigation, primarily involving European companies. She is fluent in German, having spent two years studying political science and economics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms Universitaet Bonn, Germany. After law school, Ms. McGregor was a recipient of the German Chancellor Fellowship through the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, which allowed her to obtain an LL.M. degree in German civil law and international commercial law from the Westfaelische Wilhelms-Universitaet Muenster, Germany. During law school at Emory, Ms. McGregor was the research editor of the Emory International Law Review and student law clerk to Justice Norman Fletcher of the Georgia Supreme Court.Prior to joining Milberg Weiss's New York office in early 2002, Ms. McGregor practiced in the international corporate law section of a large Atlanta law firm advising German companies on their business in the U.S. |
