Kristen Reimers is a Clinical Pharmacist and external advisor to our Scientific Advisory Board. She currently works at Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield in Rochester New York as their Manager of Clinical Utilization Management & Quality Assurance Programs, and was one of the original developers of their pharmacy medical management program for obesity. Kristen is responsible for development and implementation of strategy relative to UM initiatives and quality assurance and compliance associated with these programs, including prior authorization, and updating policies & procedures and associated processes. Kristen directly oversees functions of all clinical pharmacists, pharmacy RN/QA program coordinator and pharmacy intern. She also provides direct education counseling, program promotion and guidance to members, health care providers and the community as to cost-effective, quality directed therapeutic options |
