Kriss Cloninger joined Aflac Incorporated in March 1992 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was promoted to executive vice president in 1993 and president in May 2001, retaining the title of CFO. Since joining Aflac, he has had primary responsibility for overseeing the financial management of all company operations, including Aflac U.S., and Aflac Japan.
In March 2006, Mr. Cloninger was named Best CFO in the insurance/life category in America by Institutional Investor magazine for the third year in a row.
Mr. Cloninger is a member of the boards of directors of Aflac Incorporated, Total System Services, Inc. (TSYS), and the Tupperware Brands Corporation. He is also a board member of RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, Historic Columbus Foundation, and Little Blessings Nurturing Center in Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Cloninger holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. |
