Krish A. Prabhu, 52, is CEO and president of Tellabs and a member of the board of directors. Prior to joining Tellabs in 2004, Prabhu was a venture partner at Morgenthaler Ventures from 2001 until 2004. Previously, Prabhu served as chief operating officer of Alcatel Telecom f1999-2001, as chief executive officer of Alcatel USA from 1997-1999, and invarious senior management positions prior to that. Prabhu joined Alcatel 1991 through its acquisition of Rockwell’s Network Transmission Division. Indivision, where he served in various positions in research and developand management. He began his telecommunications career in 1980 at AT&T’s Bell Laboratories as a member of the technical staff. PUniversity in India, and a Master of Science degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, India.
