Kimberly Griffiths joined Pinnacol Assurance in 1996 as director of provider relations. In 1998, she was selected to participate in Pinnacol Assurance’s corporate restructuring design team and subsequently was named vice president of the company’s strategic operations group. Her responsibilities include oversight of the company’s quality improvement programs, its statewide network of health care providers (SelectNet), and its fraud investigation unit. She also oversees Pinnacol Assurance’s legal, medical payment, and performance improvement teams. Prior to joining Pinnacol Assurance, Griffiths was responsible for overseeing all utilization management and quality improvement programs at Sloans Lake Managed Care. She has 10 years of intensive care nursing experience and eight years of expertise in the managed care industry. Griffiths is a senior examiner for Colorado Performance Excellence (CPEx). This program, the state’s version of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program, is an integrated approach to organizational management that recognizes performance excellence. Griffiths is also the executive sponsor of Pinnacol Assurance’s 9Health Fair. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Regis University and a master’s degree in health care systems from the University of Denver. She is married and has one daughter. Her hobbies include skiing and hiking. |
