Kim Petersen is the Chairman of Mobius Security Group. Kim has over 25 years of experience in domestic and international security and anti-terrorism activities. His post-graduate studies have included attendance at the Harvard Business School and his civilian career has included senior staff positions with former US Secretaries of State Kissinger and Haig. He has also served as a senior staff member in the White House, US Senate, US Defense Department in the areas of national security and intelligence, and is a former Captain in the Army's Special Forces.In 2002, Kim was appointed to a select US Senate security working group; in 2003, he was appointed by the Secretary of Transportation to the Marine Transportation System National Advisory Council; and, in 2004 he was appointed by the Department of Homeland Security to the Area Maritime Security Committee for Southern Florida. In his career he has performed security and vulnerability assessments in over 90 countries and performed over 200 international facility security audits worldwide.Kim has frequently given expert testimony before the US Congress on homeland security and counterterrorism, and his writings have been published in many journals and books. He is a Senior Adjunct Instructor at the US Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and is a former Visiting Professor at the United Nation's World Maritime University. He is a frequent lecturer and has been featured on all the network news programs as well as '60 Minutes', ‘20/20', CNN, Fox News, NPR, and ‘The History Channel' |
