Kevin Tripp is executive vice president and president, Retail Midwest for SUPERVALU. Tripp oversees the retail operations of Cub Foods, Hornbacher’s, Jewel and Shop ‘n Save, as well as company-wide pharmacy operations. Tripp joined SUPERVALU through the 2006 acquisition of Albertsons, where he was executive vice president, drug operations and president, drug store division, as well as a member of the corporation’s executive council that directed food and drug operations in 37 states. A 27-year industry veteran, Tripp has held positions in grocery and drug store operations, pharmacy operations, managed care, pharmacy marketing and regional management. At American Stores Company, Tripp served as vice president of advertising and sales, vice president of pharmacy operations and marketing, and senior vice president of pharmacy sales and operations. He was executive vice president and general manager of the drug store division when American Stores merged with Albertsons in 1999. He also served for several years as director of a combination food-and-drug store in the Intermountain area. Tripp is a registered pharmacist and holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Wyoming and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. |
