Kevin O誰eill joined the Dolphins on March 1, 1996, as Head Athletic Trainer after serving seven seasons in a similar capacity with the Dallas Cowboys. Along with Troy Maurer and Ben Westby, O誰eill is responsible for the day-to-day treatment of Dolphins players in coordination with the club痴 medical staff.
In 2006, O誰eill and his staff were recognized by their peers as the Athletic Training Staff of the Year by the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society.
With the Cowboys, O誰eill was part of three Super Bowl championship teams. He also was a member of a National Championship club during his four years (1985-88) as head athletic trainer at the University of Miami (Fla.).
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, O誰eill earned his master痴 degree in athletic training from the University of Arizona while serving as athletic trainer for Catalina High School in Tucson, Arizona. O誰eill spent three years as the head athletic trainer at Oregon State, and one year at the University of Central Florida before joining the University of Miami.
A native of Pittsburgh, O誰eill and his wife, Anne, have two daughters, McKenzie and Kaitlyn, and live in Fort Lauderdale. |
