Kevin Kelly was named President of Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts in August of 2005. Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts is one of the fastest growing businesses within Delaware North Companies. Kelly maintains responsibility for overseeing operations at all parks and destination resorts owned or managed by the company. Locations include Yosemite National Park; Sequoia and Yellowstone national parks; Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex; Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa, British Columbia; Niagara Falls State Park; Jones Beach State Park; Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center; The U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and Denver; The Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva State Park, Ohio; and the BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel, New Hampshire.
Kelly joined Delaware North Companies Parks and Resorts in 1996 as Director of Retail Operations at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Cape Canaveral, Fla. In 1998 Kelly, a native of San Rafael, California, relocated to take the position of Director of Retail at Yosemite National Park. In July of 2000, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations at Yosemite and then to Chief Operating Officer in March 2002, where he was responsible for all policies, management, financial and strategic direction of the park which houses the largest concessions contract in the National Parks’ system. Kelly most recently served as Vice President of the western region of Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts from November 2003 to August 2005.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Kelly began his hospitality management career with Aramark Services as Assistant Manager at Muir Woods in the San Francisco Bay Area. He relocated with Aramark to Pikes Peak in Colorado, where he was promoted to Regional General Manager responsible for Muir Woods National Monument, Hearst Castle and Pikes Peak. |
