Kevin Mallon is the President of Electron Technologies, Inc. (ETI). Prior to this role he was the Deputy General Manager responsible for a broad range of company practices including research and development, plant infrastructure, and business development. In addition, he provided technical oversight for ETI's products and technical projects as the acting Chief Engineer. His responsibilities now include the general management of Electron Technologies, Inc.
ETI is a leading provider of integrated high-power microwave amplifiers, and a major supplier of products supporting high reliability satellite payload applications including passive microwave devices and electric propulsion products.
Mallon was director of strategic development and chief scientist for Boeing EDD from January 2001 to January 2002. In this role, he led strategic initiatives related to product development, business development and infrastructure.
From March 1996 through September 2000, Mallon was product manager for Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA) products at Space Systems/Loral (SS/L). In this role, Mallon was responsible for all technical and most business aspects related to the procurement of TWTA products valued at nearly $100 M /year average during the period. From September 2000 through January 2001 Mallon was assigned as a senior technologist in SS/L's new programs engineering organization where he supported several successful new business campaigns for commercial communications satellites.
Mallon began his career at ETI (at that time Hughes, then Boeing EDD) in 1982. From 1982 through March 1996 he held various positions of increasing responsibility including quality test engineer, space TWT project engineer, space TWT/TWTA program manager, marketing and sales manager for their space business area and senior scientist responsible for next-generation space TWT development projects. During this period Mallon managed several milestone projects including the first TWTs on-orbit using EDD's innovative graphite electrode collector technology and the first high power S-band, C-band and Ku-band production space TWT programs.
He received a BS in electrical engineering in 1986 from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California. |
